I moved in with a buddy of mine (Patrick "No Links" Donnellan), into a brand new luxury apartment in White City (5 minutes from Oxford Street).
I got a sick multi monitor set up, spent over £3,000 on it. I have been wanting to upgrade my system for ages, and I have finally got a work station to be proud of. I will post some photos of the set up and generally the apartment on my next post.
My poker has been up and down. I have been very emotional, and went through another dark spell questioning my ability. Oh, and I ran really really bad.
There is only one remedy for running bad and feeling bad about your game in my opinion, and thats Vegas!
So with that in mind I met up with Syed "The Terrorist" for a game of chess last week, and sold him the idea of taking a week's trip. He was really excited, and we booked our tickets the next day (after some stressful complications).
We flew out Saturday morning, and was in the MGM for our first session at midnight (Sunday morning).
The action was amazing, the games were softer than the cent games on Stars, and the players were either retarded or drunk, or even better both!
I established a sweet routine playing 2 sessions a day. The morning session which would commence at around 6am / 7am playing through to 2pm. This session would be great for catching all the drunks, who were not only drunk, but tired. Also I would catch all the players who were stuck a couple of buy ins and were chasing their loses. I felt I had huge edge on the game as I was fresh, and I came out with my A-Game.
After my morning session, I made my way down to the pool, to catch some sun, have a beer (or two), and basically just "chillax"....it was really cool. I would stay down there until around 4pm.
I would give myself 2/3 hours before commecing my evening session around 6pm / 7pm, and I would play through to around 2am / 3am.
Although I went out there with the intention of playing the $2-$5 games, I ended up logging in the majority of table hours on the $1-$2 games.
I came out the other end with winnings of just under $3.5k , which was pretty sweet considering I grinded the $1-$2 games.
So I am back feeling better, I have rolled up a bankroll on PokerStars (just over $1k), and looking to get back on track.
$1k = $50Max (8 tabling 6 handed tables).
$2k = $100 Max (6 tabling 6 handed tables).
$4k = Review.
Well thats my plan anyway!
I love the $100 bills!
Syed "The Terrorist" chilling...
Time to hit the tables!
