Understanding the thought processes (or the lack of any logical thought processes) of "hope-a-trons" is I believe the most important consideration.
There are some retards who completely pay no attention to the table dynamics, they do not consider or adjust to the hand ranges of others and simply play their hands for face value, hence over value the strength of their holdings.
For example:
Full Ring £1-£2 Dealer Dealt Rake Game
UTG (who has been playing like a complete nit for the past 6 hours)opens for £12.
Action folds around to our retarded friend in the big blind, who looks down at A7 suited. He figures he has an ace, he figures it's suited, and "meh...it's only £10 more to call".
So he makes the call, and the flop comes down: 2 7 5 Rainbow.
"Fucking hell...I just flopped top pair....top kicker....ship it!" So he makes a pot sized lead, with no worries about our nitty under the gun raiser, who before this hand had let to open pre flop (let alone open under the gun...I am talking a guy so nitty he would open fold Jacks UTG!)...
(By the way as I write this I am deep in a Stars $5 Freezeout....17/54...over 3,000 runners)....over $200k in chips..one time?):

Anyway, back to what I was saying.....so the action is now on our pre flop aggressor....who re pops the retard....(without going into too much detail about relative stacks lets just say the raise is pretty much putting the retard all in).
The retard ships it in, and is shocked when his A7 is cracked by KK.
There is a poker god, and he shouts for chips, reloading up to £200.
Equipped with the information gained from this hand, I will drastically re consider not only my range, but re evaluate the strenght of my hands against him in pots.
In the past I have been guilty of over thinking at several layers during pots, and making incorrect decisions due to not re evaluating / adjusting my conclusion.
What I mean is say for example, I was involved in the hand described above, after the UTG raise, I was on the button with 10 10, and elected to call (obviously not 3 betting Mr Nit), but instead of having KK, our Nit has AK, so when the retard leads on the flop, and the Nit folds, I would find this a tough spot (without any previous historical context with the retard).
I would think, surely this guy must be strong leading into Mr Nit, and pretty much committing himself to the hand. I would be very reluctant to raise, and would probably call and re assess the action on the turn. Which is real bad, because I am giving him a free card, and any over card is pretty much going to kill my action (we would probably check it down).
But, if I was in this same spot, equipped as I say with the original information, I am shoving this guy all day long, and getting paid.
So, firstly the ability to adjust the strength of my hand is vital in the way I play my hand post flop. But I think as important is my calling / raising range, and the adjustment of my play pre flop.
Playing hands "standard" versus retards is not always the way. Again by standard I mean say for example you have QQ, with a couple of limpers in front of you, "standard" play would be to isolate with a strong raise, and don't get me wrong this is probably the line I would take more often than not.
However in certain spots I am willing to over limp with the "added retard equity". Knowing that our retard is limping weak / marginal holdings, and also knowing they are pretty reliable to stack off light post flop, then I am willing not to raise them out.
Obviously this play would involve very delicate treading, and you got to be able to let go of your hand, and know / sense when this is. But you are also significantly disguising the actual strength of your hand, hence your opponents are (if they are any good) are under valuing your range, so again re adjustment due to their adjustment is necessary.
"Added Retard Equity" basically involves playing a hand "non standard", due to the extra equity, (through implied odds of the retard's willing to give you his stack).
A retard's presence in a game, changes the dynamics of the whole table (especially if as mentioned players are showing the ability to adapt), and you have to be always thinking through their thought processes, but being careful not to "level" yourself.
Mmmmm...I think I only understand what I am talking about here.
