Platinum stardom lights the way...

I feel like I have been in hibernation this month!

I have really enjoyed the home comforts of playing online, seriously I love it! I just settle in, and play. I think it helps that I have a really good set up, I really could not manage the sheer volume I play on one monitor (and definitely not on a laptop).

I set myself 2 really simple goals to work towards this month:

• Secure Platinum Star on Pokerstars.

I started the month off in a sprint, and put some sick volume in and then slowed down to playing no more than 4-6 tables when I realised I had plenty of time to get the required points.

I am happy that I was actually able to pull through and complete a goal that I set myself. I think this shows definite progress in my resolve.

I have however (to date at least) have come up short with my second goal...

• Record a +$1,000 MTT score.

As most of you guys will know this is not for a lack of effort on my part. I have managed to play 106 tournaments this month (and counting). That is a serious amount of tournaments, and again I am proud of myself for sticking to it.

Although I have not managed a big score, I have got close, so fucking close. Several times I have put myself in spots where I just needed to run a little bit better (or play a little bit better), with a little bit of luck I would had better outcomes.

But its coming, I go deep regularly, and have super confidence in my game right now. Clocked up nearly 2,000 TLB points with my deep runs.

I continue to be more driven than ever, even after some seriously brain draining amount of volume (and some sickening heart breaks late in tournaments).

I have as planned resigned from my post at work, and my last working day will be somewhere around the 2nd week in September. I am going to take some time off and chill.

Hopefully I will hit a heater and make enough money to pay the rent, otherwise you can come and visit me outside McDonalds sitting in my cardboard box.

My extended trip (3 months) to Vegas with The Horse, and Rosh is pretty close to getting booked -this will be the subject of my next blog entry!

PS... I am nowhere near busto, why do people keep asking me that? I wanted to play online this month to be able to spend more time with my friends before I fly off toVegas! I did however visit the hospital for a patch up, and NO! Pratik was not there!
