I played non stop from 5pm until 2am (ish) when I busted out my last tournament of the day, which was the $200k UB Main Event. I managed to bubble, and that seemed a fitting close to an incredibly frustrating day.
I really dont mind losing coin flips, and even 60-40s are OK with me! But I was getting goat fucked with 2/3 outers.
This one sucked hard, deep into a rebuy with a decent stack, sweet news to pick up QQ on the button...

Unless you find someone who has you covered in the big blind with AQ suited! Weee...Pretty standard spot obviously, AQ actually has my late position raising range crushed. I don't blame the dude for shipping, I would just like to fade the ace!
Here was another one, very close to the money bubble, again I have a decent (workable) stack...

So this cunt slow plays his KK pre flop, I flop my set, he thinks he has me crushed, we get the money in....and BOOOOOM king on the river. Must be nice. Did you notice his stack? Must be fucking nice! Mother fucker must of stuck a horse shoe up his ass for this tournament.
Anyway, I wont bore you but there were several of these, and it just seemed like I lost every meaningful coin flip. Meh!
I did manage to record a modest profit for the day though, thanks to a number of small cashes(including one in the $1m Turbo TakeDown).
I am really enjoying my poker at the moment, and can feel a decent score coming soon! I think it is the excitement of tournament poker that keeps me grinding away.
They do however take a significant commitment to play, I mean take tonight, following my usual week night schedule, my first tournament starts at 7pm, and my last tournament starts at midnight. Meaning if I get deep in any of the latter tournaments I will be looking at a 3/4am finish.
I love it! Here is a picture of me, settled in (during my Sunday sessions)...
So since I haven't been playing much live, the content of my blog has got some what boring! I was going to talk about the forthcoming Vegas trip, post some pics of the condo and shit, but I don't want to lose some of the readers so instead I will share the following tale with you (true story)...
Couple of years ago I went out to Malia (Greece), with my best friend Gurdeep.
This place is sick. That's all that needs to be said about the place. It was around the time poker was really taking off, and every cunt wanted to play! Including girls.
One chick claimed she could play, and actually challenged me to a heads up match. Standard 10 minute clock, blinds starting at 25-50, 5k stack.
She started of playing pretty solidly, but seemed to have a funky style of playing. She took some really weird lines. After a couple of hands which went to show down, I thought something was not right.
To cut of long story short, she didn't know how to play! She had just pretended, basically because we had wagered that if I had lost I would go out with her group (bunch of girls), and if she had lost she would come out with me. No lose situation to be fair (for her!).
Needless to say, I made sure she learnt her lesson....

Happy memories!
Anyway, this post seems to have lost its way, so I will end it!
Yigit out!
