Making myself at home...

So I am here, and the feeling is still pretty strange. Feels surreal in a way. I am pretty much living my dream.

Playing poker for a living in Las Vegas.

I have only been here a very short time, but feel at home already. The apartment is really nice, here are some photos of the interior...

The apartment is a good size, and very comfortable. The sofa is huge! There is also a blow up mattress and the bed can sleep two. So room for 5 at least! Come on you trons get on a flight(and bring money...).

It is within a secured community. There is a gym, 2 pools (seems like a real cool place to hang out, when you boys get out here we can have a BBQ by the pool!), tennis courts, sauna, and many other sweet facilities.

It really is nice here, I will make sure to take some photos of the exterior and surroundings and post them up soon.

The location of the apartment is literally a 5 minute stroll from The Venetian! We have a sick view of the strip from our balcony.

So far I have been sticking to my planned daily schedule which looks something like this...

11:00am Wake up and have breakfast.

12:00pm 30 minute gym.

01:00pm First session

06:00pm 20 minute gym session / 20 minute service practise (tennis) / 20 minute pool time

07:00pm Nap / chill time / dinner.

10:00pm Second session

05:00am Bed time

From a poker point of view, I have been playing at The Venetian (on Rosh and Rob's advise), the games are pretty soft, but I think I prefer The MGM. I intend to see out the week and then review.

There is not much to report, I haven't really been in many tough spots.

I got pretty lucky in a pot last night. I had KK, opened to $12 pre flop. 5 way to the flop. Flop was 6 2 Q rainbow.

Actioned checked to me, I bet $40. One call, then a check raise to $100 by a big fat drunk guy to $100.

I had $350 at the start of the hand and the guy had me covered. I shipped. He snapped with a set of 6s.

King on the turn. Weee! Must be nice. I had witnessed this guy drink shots and beer like fucking water for the past 5 hours, and was no way laying down an over pair. So meh. Ship me a $800 pot thank you!

I have won the 3 sessions I have played so far, I am up around $900 -without much action really.

I did say I was going to talk about some hands from my previous session in London in the last post, but I really have to go hit the tables now!
