I 3 bet you light...

1-3 game.

There is a weak opening raise after a limper.

Action folds around to me. One of the edges I have is exploiting my opponent's bet sizing tells. And this certainly is one.

With a strong hand this dude makes it 15+ to go, probably even more with the limper.

I'm on the button and with weak tight players to act behind me. I look down to 95 off. I 3 bet.

I make it 35 total. Though sometimes the original raiser folds here, I don't expect him to. I'm comfortable seeing a 3 bet flop in position, with initiative versus an inferior opponent who doesn't have a super strong hand.

These are all favorable factors, and most the time they will check fold to a half pot c-bet.

Sometimes I may bet the turn, and sometimes under the right circumstance I may fire another barrel on the river.

Either way I put myself in a situation to apply pressure on my opponent, and create a situation to maximize my edge.

Sometimes these plays don't work out but as long as I am picking my spots, identifying the correct opponent under the suitable table dynamics then they are certainly +ev plays.

One just worked out. The 95off hand didn't and cost me over £150. Though on a positive note it did go to showdown and gave me some advertising equity.

Reporting live from the tables.

Oh I lost another flip with AK. Let another situation which could not be avoided. That's 5 this month now. AK ever out run a pair live?
